CPCE Core Faculty member Richard Aplenc, MD, PhD, is leading a collaborative, observational clinical trial that aims to shed light on how physicians can approach discharge scenarios for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients safely and consistently while also considering family preferences. The study, entitled “Home or Away From Home,” will determine the risks/benefits of outpatient vs. inpatient management of neutropenia in children with AML.
