Molly Hess is a Clinical Research Study Lead at Clinical Futures at CHOP. She is currently within the Neonatology division on several research studies. Ms. Hess coordinates a study focusing on parent perspectives regarding informed consent for genomic testing within the context of the NICU. She also assists on a project evaluating the accuracy of prognoses associated with genetic findings detected in infancy. Ms. Hess also supports a project, in collaboration with the PACT Team, that aims to understand the challenges experienced by families who care for a child with a serious illness at home and how clinical teams utilize this data.
Previously, she worked under the Center for Applied Genomics (CAG) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on various research projects. Ms. Hess coordinated participant recruitment and retention of a multi-site study that evaluated the implementation of a genomics-integrated risk assessment in pediatric primary care.
Ms. Hess received her bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in a Chemistry from University of Pittsburgh. She completed the Certified Clinical Research Professional program with the Society of Clinical Research Associates. Currently, she is obtaining her master’s in Clinical Research Organization and Management at Drexel University.
