Kristan Scott, MD

Kristan Scott, MD is an affiliate trainee at PolicyLab, a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellow at CHOP, and a postdoctoral fellow in the National Clinician Scholars Program at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Scott’s academic interests lie in perinatal health services research and policy. He is focused on understanding the drivers of racial and ethnic disparities in maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. His most recent work has focused on differences in maternal and birth parent postpartum care access. In addition to his research interests, Scott actively engages in mentorship and pipeline programming in the Penn Medicine and CHOP communities for physicians underrepresented in medicine.

Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Biology from Princeton University. He then graduated from Harvard Medical School. He was a pediatric resident and chief resident at the Boston Combined Residency Program (Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center).
