Janani Ramachandran, M.S., M.P.H.

Jan Ramachandran is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She works with Dr. Brian Jenssen and Dr. Alexander Fiks on multiple primary-care based projects aiming to improve pediatric care and health outcomes. Much of this research focuses on the incorporation of health information technology. She also works with The Possibilities Project, which uses innovative strategies to define existing problems in care delivery and develop solutions to fix them.

Jan received her Master’s of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health and worked as a student data manager at the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Data Analysis Center. For her practicum, she worked at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, studying the relationship between Alzheimer’s Disease Pathology and energetic efficiency of walking in older adults from the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging.

Before the MPH program, Jan received an MS in Medical Physiology from Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, and a BS in Health Sciences from Sri Ramachandra University in India, where she is originally from.
