Edna L. Terry (she/her/hers) is a clinical research coordinator at PolicyLab and Clinical Futures at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is working with Dr. Joanne Wood on assessing the efficacy of PriCARE, a six-week positive parenting program that aims to improve behavioral problems in children and strengthen parent-child relationships.
Edna received her Masters in Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Her thesis, titled “An octapeptide in the juxtamembrane domain of VE-cadherin is important for p120ctn binding and cell proliferation", dealt with tumor genesis and platelets interaction. After obtaining her M.S. Edna also worked at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ in the department of Hematology/Oncology where she was the Clinical Coordinator and was in charge of overseeing various Pharma sponsored clinical trials for breast, brain, and lung cancers. Edna has also worked for several pharmaceutical companies in both small rare disease as well as mega trials in the cardiology field. Edna is interested in health equality and access to resources for all specially in Latin America since she was born in Colombia South America. She hopes to be able to touch the lives of many people.
