Amarpreet Kaur, MHS, is a Clinical Research Coordinator II at Clinical Futures at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
She earned her Master of Health Science (MHS) in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, specializing in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, with graduate certificates in Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology and Healthcare Epidemiology Infection Prevention and Control.
At CHOP, Amarpreet works in the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics (DBHi) under the guidance of Dr. Irit Rasooly. She contributes to multiple pediatric care projects aimed at improving health outcomes and advancing diagnostic excellence. Dr. Rasooly’s research focuses on improving diagnostic decision-making, leveraging electronic health records to enhance diagnostic performance, and addressing significant threats to patient safety, such as diagnostic errors.
Before joining CHOP, Amarpreet gained extensive experience in healthcare informatics at the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked on integrating AI tools into clinical workflows to improve patient care. She also contributed to maternal and child health policy research at Johns Hopkins and conducted vaccine quality research at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Amarpreet has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications on topics including pediatric diagnostics, healthcare provider perspectives on pediatric vaccine uptake in India, and the development of AI-driven automated response systems for healthcare providers. She is skilled in quantitative and qualitative research, data analysis, and data management tools.
