Madeline McGuire is a clinical research assistant at Clinical Futures and PolicyLab at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Ms. McGuire supports Dr. Senbagam Virudachalam on research efforts focused on helping families cook and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables and advancing food equity. She is currently working on the FVRx + Home Plate study, which is a fruit and vegetable prescription voucher and cooking skills intervention.
Ms. McGuire graduated from Temple University with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience. During her time at Temple, Ms. McGuire worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the Center for Obesity Research and Education (CORE) on a project that sent daily text messages to caregivers of young children with tips and resources on how to make healthy lifestyle choices every day. In the future, she plans to pursue a master’s in public health and dedicate her work to community health and disease prevention.
