Jonathan Edelson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and a cardiologist in the Division of Cardiology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he serves as the medical director of the ventricular assist device and sports cardiology programs. He completed his undergraduate degree from Haverford College and earned both his Medical Doctorate and Master of Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a senior fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and core faculty in the CHOP Policy Lab.
Dr. Edelson is the recipient of a NIH K23 career development award that supports his primary research agenda; the development and implementation of physical activity related interventions to improve the long-term outcomes of children with cardiac disease that are effective, sustainable, and accessible.
