Hilary B. Whitworth, MD, MSCE

Hilary Whitworth, MD, MSCE is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and an attending physician in the Division of Hematology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Whitworth received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Virginia and medical degree from Emory University before coming to CHOP for her pediatric residency and pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship. She also received her Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania during her fellowship. 

Dr. Whitworth's research and clinical interests are in pediatric thrombosis and hemostasis. Her current research focuses on preventing recurrent thrombosis in children and adolescents with safe and effective thromboprophylaxis strategies. She also has an interest in the management and outcomes of pediatric pulmonary embolism and co-leads the CHOP pulmonary embolism response team.
