Danielle Sands, MPH

Danielle Sands, MPH is a Clinical Research Project Manager at PolicyLab and the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She is currently working on the Digital Literacy Promotion (DLP) study that evaluates the effects of digital versus standard literacy promotion, as well as the dialogic behaviors and reading comprehension in infants when comparing the use of standard board books with digital e-books.

Previously, she worked in the Eating Disorder Assessment and Treatment Program in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at CHOP on various research projects assessing therapeutic strategies, working directly with patients suffering from Anorexia Nervosa and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.  Prior to working at CHOP, Ms. Sands worked at Einstein Healthcare Network as the Project Coordinator for the prenatal health education program, CenteringPregnancy, promoting patient-centered care and improved birth outcomes for low-income women in Norristown, PA.

Ms. Sands holds an MPH from La Salle University, and a BS in Biobehavioral Health from The Pennsylvania State University.
