Adya Maddox, MPH is a clinical research coordinator in the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE). Adya is currently working with Dr. Emily Gregory on research addressing modifiable risk factors for women with a history of preterm birth through care coordination and motivational interviewing. Previously Adya worked as a Program Assistant within Acute Communicable diseases of the Philadelphia Department Health on COVID-19 surveillance activities, including contact tracing, COVID-19 testing coordination and data management. Adya received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Drexel University as well as her Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Health Policy and Management from Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health. While completing her MPH she interned within Policy Lab working with both Dr. Aletha Akers and Dr. Sarah Wood on projects having to do with adolescent sexual and reproductive health. This included developing content for the ParentsAreTalking website and creating resources for health navigation for the CHOP Karabots center.
