Cadence Bowden, MSW, MPH

Cadence Bowden is a Clinical Research Project Manager at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness (CPCE) and PolicyLab at CHOP. Currently, Cadence supports research focused on pediatric mental health. Previously, she worked on a community-based, randomized controlled trial aimed at improving food preparation practices among parents of toddlers.

Cadence received her Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining CPCE, she worked as the community health and wellness coordinator at a multi-service agency in Philadelphia where she was charged with developing and implementing programming for various populations throughout the city. During her graduate studies, she conducted original research examining men’s beliefs, intentions and actions surrounding contraception and conception, and she served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Injury Research and Prevention at CHOP on a study aimed at preventing risky teen driving.
